Flood Control
GCE staff possesses extensive experience with feasibility studies,
planning, design, and construction of flood control projects. These
include levees, pump stations, flood control detention basins, stream
bank stabilization, dredging to improve conveyance, flood control
structures such as spillways, levees, and gates, and emergency warning
systems. GCE staff has performed many flood studies and permitting
including regional hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis,
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Conditional Letters of
Map Revision (CLOMR), LOMR, and floodplain mapping.
